Fake Currency Detection Using Image Processing

Abstract

Fake currency has always been an issue that has created a lot of problems in the world. Every country has been badly affected by this which has become a major problem. Moreover, it makes the domestic currency lose out its credibility in the global market. Thereby triggering adverse socioeconomic impacts. Counterfeit currency is also usually associated with terror financing. According to an RBI report, fake notes of the new Rs 500 series saw a 37% rise in 2019-20, and there was a fall in circulation of Rs 2000 notes. The increasing technological advancements have made the possibility of creating more counterfeit currency. Fake currency has always been an issue that has created a lot of problems in the world.
